After Hariyali Teej of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month, Hartalika Teej is celebrated every year on the Tritiya of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. According to the English calendar, this time this fast will be observed on Monday, 18 September 2023. Let us know which 9 tasks women do on this day.

4. It is necessary to stay awake throughout the night: On these days, it is necessary for women to stay awake throughout the night, that is why they have to perform all eight Prahar Pujas and there is also a belief or superstition that a woman who sleeps gets the vagina of a python or a crocodile.
5. Once a fast is observed, it has to be observed throughout life: It is believed that if any virgin or married woman starts observing this fast once, then she has to observe this fast throughout her life. In case of illness, the other woman or husband can observe this fast.
6. Perform puja like this: Decorate the puja place with flowers, place a stool, spread banana leaves on it and install the idols of Lord Shankar, Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha. After this, offer all the wedding items to Parvati and dhoti and towel to Lord Shiva and perform Shodshopachar puja. Then listen to the story of Teej and keep vigil at night. After Aarti, offer vermilion to Goddess Parvati in the morning and break the fast by offering Halwa.
7. Must listen to the story: During this fast, it is important to listen to the Hartalika Teej Vrat Katha. It is believed that this fast is considered incomplete without the story.
8. Why do women observe this fast: In this fast, married women worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva to attain unbroken good fortune, while unmarried girls observe this fast for their desired groom. On the day of Hariyali Teej, married women observe a fast for the long life of their husbands.
9. This happens if the fast is broken: There is a belief that whatever kind of food or any other substance is consumed, according to the nature of the food, its next birth takes place in that vagina only.
